EquiSpirit (Formerly Equi-Spirit Toys) was featured on the Emmy Award-winning CBS TV show Henry Ford’s Innovation Nation on October 10th, 2015.
INNOVATION NATION, hosted by Mo Rocca of CBS SUNDAY MORNING, is an Emmy Award-winning celebration of the inventor’s spirit, from historic scientific pioneers throughout past centuries to the forward-looking visionaries of today. Each episode tells the dramatic stories behind the world’s greatest inventions, and the perseverance, passion and price required to bring them to life.
We were honored to have had the crew from this TV show come out to Talking Horse Ranch and spend the whole day filming our herd with their EquiSpirit Toys for an upcoming segment. The concept surrounds Riley as the CEO of our horse toys company.
“Horses from all backgrounds are having a ball with EquiSpirit toys”, says co-creator Lisa Ross-Williams. “From Andalusian and Friesian stallions, cutting and reining horses, dressage competitors and beloved backyard horses, all are benefiting from this unique, extra durable 40″ horse play ball”. Lisa continues, “Even Kentucky Derby winner 2009, Mine That Bird is an EquiSpirit ball supporter.”
Now, EquiSpirit can add another equine celebrity to their long list of satisfied horse customers–Einstein, the world’s smallest stallion and international media phenomenon. Charlie Cantrell, Einstein’s owner stated via email, “We want to let you know we received the EquiSpirit ball, and our little stud Einstein had a grand time playing with it. It is now his favorite toy! We are beginning our national book tour and will be appearing on many major talk shows and in print media.”
When born, Einstein weighed only 6 pounds and stood 14 inches tall. The book about his life, A Friend For Einstein-The Smallest Stallion was just released and is on the New York Times Best Seller list. For more information about Einstein, visit his website at www.smalleststallion.com
His co-owner, Dr. Leonard Blach contacted the EquiSpirit office to order another EquiSpirit ball. He stated via email, “Mine That Bird has so much fun with his ball. He always had something to play with, but this is his favorite toy. He has it in his sand paddock in the daytime, then at night he wants it in his stall with him; it’s his security blanket. I love watching them play with it. Thanks so much for this idea.”
